By registering as a member of the website you agree that you must upload only items that you own the copyright to, or at least have a tacit agreement from the owner, e.g., a parent, sibling etc,.

Some data my be shared if, for example, someone clicks a link to ‘Share’ an item (e.g., a Photo) on the website to their preferred social media feed, then this facility is securely handled server - to - server and encrypted by our website and our partners at sharethis.com. Performing a ‘Share’ will open a window to your chosen social media website’s login page, where you can then securely authorize the ‘share’ action on your e.g., Facebook Feed or Group page.

The organizers of What’s on Dundee 1980s Website wish to encourage people who either played in bands, owned or worked in a music venue, or regularly went out and enjoyed the music scene of Dundee during the 1980s, to register for an account on our website and upload and share some photos, old and new, or video clips taken on your mobile phone, also any stories from back in the day that you may wish to talk about in a Blog.

Please bear in mind, this is NOT a Social Media website for general topics, so only post items that are relevant to the subject of Dundee's music scene in the 1980s. If members post trash then it'll be put in the trash by one of our Admins.

It’s our aim to encourage people to contribute anything relevant that they can, and over time our collective efforts may produce a wonderful visual archive of Dundee’s city-wide music scene during the 1980s, made by those who actually experienced it in person.
